New York Yankees are trying to compete for a World Series and their captain Aaron Judge will be critical to that during this season. Judge was named the Yankees captain this off-season in addition to being given a new $360 million contract. This was a recognition of his ability, leadership role, and commitment to the franchise.

Judge arrived for Spring Training early this year along with several other Yankee players. This was in order to have more time to prepare for the season. Although Judge shares a good relationship with every Yankee teammate, Giancarlo Stanton is someone he shares a special bond with. Notably, when the two play together in the ballparks, they mean serious business against any opponent. And now when the new season is about to begin in a month, the Yankees captain jokingly teased his partner in crime.

Aaron Judge is happy to be back on the field with Giancarlo Stanton

Aaron Judge reported for Spring Training early this year, along with several of his teammates. By doing this, the Yankee captain showed his intent at having a significant year. Most recently, Judge shared a post on Instagram in which he said that he was happy to be back on the field. He also shouted out his close friend and $325 million teammate Giancarlo Stanton in the message. 

In the Instagram Post, Judge said, “@giancarlo818 is somewhere out there! Glad to be back on the field! #2k23”. If one looks closely enough, one can spot Stanton in the background of the picture Judge has posted. Both Yankees outfielders seem focused on the upcoming season. In fact, Judge stated that the upcoming season was his reason for missing the World Baseball Classic.

“There’s a Lot of Unfinished Business”: Aaron Judge Unveils His Plans After Succeeding Derek Jeter as New York Yankees Captain

Stanton reacted to the post and shared emojis in response, “😎 🎯”. He is wearing sunglasses and is standing in the background. Fans have reacted to the post as well with positive comments. Some reactions were, “Giancarlo and Judge throwing partners? Love it”, “LETS GO CAP”, “CAPTAIN”. Others said, “All rise! Here comes captain @thejudge44!! #allrise”, “King of NY 👑”, “Welcome back Cap”.

It will be interesting to see how the Yankees look when the season finally starts. They are going in with a very similar roster to last year, but with a few changes. Furthermore, Judge is going to be playing a new position for parts of the season. 

Judge is going to play in the left field for parts of the 2023 season

The New York Yankees are weak at the left field position and have devised a new strategy to help cover that weakness. Aaron Judge is going to play in the left field at times this season. That will also allow Giancarlo Stanton to play some games on the right field.
