According to a source, Guillen once slammed ‘A-Rod’ for his comment on the World Baseball Classic, and called him a ‘hypocrite.’ Guillen later openly apologized to A-Rod. Appearing on Graham Bensinger’s talk show Guillen clarified, “When I talked about Alex Rodriguez; I’m going to represent Dominican Republic. And I say well Alex not Dominican. No, his mother is Dominican. He’s born in United States. That mean you’re born in United States you’re American, you’re not Dominican.”
