No answer from the Houston Astros for the dominant Texas Rangers
The ALCS battle had an interesting turn of events after the Rangers used the Astros’ home record to equalize the series and stay in contention for the World Series. However, even after it, many predicted it to be a great close game to decide the winner. But that was not the case as the game finally ended in favor of the Rangers.
The Rangers took an early lead and maintained it till the end through homers from Adolis Garcia and pitching from Jordan Montgomery, who delivered as a bullpen. While Garcia finished with five RBIs and two home runs, Montgomery, typically a starting pitcher, entered the game in a relief role on Monday, delivering 2.1 innings of scoreless pitching to earn the victory.
