Derek Jeter is one of the most famous baseball players of all time. Over the course of his legendary career, Jeter was very private about his personal life. This included his romantic relationships over his playing days with the Yankees. He did this to keep his relationships out of the tabloids and have as normal a life as possible.

Following his heavily publicized relationship with Mariah Carey, Jeter also decided not to make his relationship public. He decided this to avoid rumors, gossip, and the intense media coverage that celebrity relationships receive. One of Jeter’s girlfriends even had to avoid questions about their relationship in an interview. And it was now other than his wife, Hannah Davis.

Hannah Davis had to block questions about Derek Jeter

Hannah Davis avoided questions about Derek Jeter during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show in 2013. She was on the show to discuss her appearance as a model in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. This led to questions about Derek Jeter, which she immediately shut down. When asked about the same, Hannah said that she’d rather talk about the magazine.

Dan Patrick: Do you want them now or like at the end of the interview?

Hannah: I would rather none at all but it’s on you. You’re not going to get much.

Dan Patrick: Why? You’re not proud?  You’re not happy? You don’t want to talk about this?

Hannah: I’m proud about this.

Davis was intent on avoiding the Derek Jeter questions and focusing on what she’d accomplished instead. This wasn’t the first time that one of Jeter’s girlfriends was asked about him and it wasn’t the last. At this point, Jeter and Davis were still in the early stages of their relationship.

Currently, Davis and Derek are the parents of three children. The couple is happily married and Jeter is spending a lot of time with his wife and kids.

When did Jeter marry Davis?

Derek Jeter married Hannah Davis in July 2016 at Nappa Valley. This was shortly after their engagement in late 2015. Jeter is quite private about his family life but has been more open since retirement.
