The 2017 Home Run Derby Champion, Aaron Judge, is on a roll to break AL’s record of home runs in a season. This year’s MLB season started with All Rise anticipating hitting 50 home runs. The prediction got fulfilled before September even started. 

Judge has now hit seven more homers than he thought he would be hitting this year, standing at 57 at present. And he does not look like stopping anytime soon. Three more home runs and he will tie up with the Yankees legend Babe Ruth’s record of 60 home runs in a season. Four more, and he will tie up with the legend Roger Maris’ record of 61 home runs in a season.

Naturally, interviewers are asking Judge his feelings about being this close to breaking the legends’ record. And Judge has a befitting reply to the question.

What does Aaron Judge feel about following up in the footsteps of the legends?

At this point, it is natural for people to compare Judge on his play with the icons of the game. Judge said to the interviewer what a star player should have said when asked about the same. 

“Those guys were winners. They were champions. Hopefully, I can follow suit just like them,” said  All Rise, giving legends the respect they deserve.

What are some of the records already made by Judge?

All Rise won the Rookie of the Year award in 2017, wherein he hit 50 home runs for the first time. This was the record set by him as a Rookie. Which then got broken by Mets’ Pete Alonso as he hit 53 in his rookie season.

Later, Judge became the Home Run Derby champion the same year he won the Rookie of the Year Award.
