Speaking on Angie Martinez’s podcast, Jeter emphasized how inspiration doesn’t necessarily have to be from one’s own profession. Among various topics, Jeter also mentioned the importance of passion. 

Speaking about his passion, Jeter said, “I played 20 years. That’s a long time for a professional athlete. It goes by quickly. And it just bothered me when people didn’t have the same passion for it, that I did.”

At one point, Angie spoke about tennis Serena Williams being applauded by the ‘King Of Golf’ Tiger Woods. Serena won 73 career titles in all total. Among those triumphs were 23 grand slams, to Serena’s credit. In 2002, Serena also rose up to the number one spot in women’s international tennis rankings.
