David Ortiz, more popularly known as Big Papi, has recently been in the news after his humorous encounters with Yankee legend, Alex Rodriguez. However, this time, the former Boston Red Sox baseman dedicated his entire attire as a tribute to a late Super Bowl defensive legend.
The Philadelphia Phillies took on San Diego Padres in the third National League Championship Series game. As the Phillies eventually defeated the Padres 4-2, former BoSox legend David Ortiz reached the Fox Studio in a brand new jersey with the number 92.

David Ortiz arrives in the Fox Studio in a unique attire
The 10-time All-Star, Big Papi reached the Fox Broadcasting studio in a retro jersey of the Philadelphia Eagles. The jersey had the number 92 of the legend Reggie White. Subsequently, Ortiz went on to reveal his tribute to White, along with a display of support for the Philadelphia Phillies.

David Ortiz, while paying a tribute to the former defensive end, NFL star Reggie White, said, âYou know it. I went to his [Reggie White] last game up in the green bay, man. Big fan. Rest in peace, my man.â

Reggie White passed away in 2004 at a young age of 43. The defensive end legendâs career was surrounded by numerous accolades. This included a Super Bowl championship, two NFL defensive player of the year awards, and multiple Hall of Fame entries amongst many others.

David Ortiz made his MLB debut in 1997 for the Minnesota Twins. Five years down the line, after an average start to his career, David Ortiz arrived at the Boston Red Sox. From 2003 to the end of his career in 2016, Big Papi established a gigantic name for himself with the Sox. Analogous to that, the baseman made ten All-Star appearances, won the World Series MVP award in 2013, and three World Championship rings. Moreover, he also won the Roberto Clemente Award.
Furthermore, in 2022, during his first year of eligibility, David Ortiz made his way into the MLB Hall of Fame. He won with a majority 77.9% ballot.
