Alex Cooper has recently spoken to NY Times about her biggest competition in the Spotify podcast rankings “Obviously the person above me is Joe Rogan”. Joe Rogan’s famous podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, is a smash hit among all audiences.

Although, Cooper claims that her podcast is essentially the most popular among women, calling Call Her Daddy “the most listened to podcast by women”

The new season of “Call Her Daddy” was recently aired on Spotify with Alex Cooper. The season kicked off with an episode featuring Hailey Beiber which went viral. The 25-year-old model spoke about her relationship with popstar Justin Beiber and the episode did great in numbers. Alex Cooper got what she wished for, as the episode is No. 1 in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K., and Ireland on Spotify.

Meghan Markle’s podcast “Archetypes” on Spotify had also previously beat JRE, by going No.1 in Australia, Canada, and the UK. The recent trends might suggest Joe Rogan is losing his grip on the audience…

Cooper talks on the criticism of her show

The podcaster mentioned that she doesn’t compete with the UFC commentator because they cater to separate audience bases and further claimed that she is her own competition saying “Our content is so different.

She adds “My show is one of the biggest shows in the world. In my category there is nothing above it. That is why I can, not arrogantly but confidently, say I am my own competition.”

Cooper also hates the terms people use to describe her show saying  “It frustrates me when people try to pigeonhole me like, Oh, it’s just that sex show,” claiming that her show is about much more rather than just sex.

She adds “I feel that sometimes people don’t want to acknowledge the show’s success: It must have been because of her looks or the salacious content. No. It continues to be one of the biggest shows in the world, and it’s not because I stumbled upon something.”
