In the latest interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, White detailed his meet-up with the two. “Well, Floyd hit me up and asked me to swing by his house on my way home,” he said.
“He lives like one neighborhood over from me. I went over there and Sakakibara was there, you know, and you know, Floyd had a deal going on.”
He continued, “I wouldn’t say he was looking for me… I don’t know. Listen, I shouldn’t even get into this, you know? Floyd asked me to come by, yeah.”
The UFC boss further shared they will do something soon. “He and I are going to end up doing something, eventually. I don’t know what, but I didn’t see this whole silliness going on right now. I didn’t see that coming. When he gets through this thing (we will do something then).”
The ‘silliness‘ White here is talking about was the recent altercation between Mayweather and Jake Paul. Both are scheduled for an exhibition match on June 6 at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida.

Dana White had previously joined forces with Mayweather
White had previously collaborated with Mayweather during the latter’s match with Conor McGregor. Mayweather fought his final match that day, which was also his 50th professional match. He had defeated the ‘Notorious’ in 10 round TKO.
The event holds the record of being the second-highest selling pay-per-view. Similarly, they had an interaction in 2019 in a basketball match. Both had planned to collaborate again in 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic thwarted their ideas.
