‘Full Camp He Says Nope’- Kamaru Usman Turns Down a Rematch Against Jorge Masvidal

The rivalry between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal is getting even more heated with each passing day. The last time the two men faced each other was at UFC 251. ‘Gamebred’ stepped in on short notice to fight against Usman after his opponent, Gilbert Burns, pulled out of the fight due to a positive COVID test.
The event did extremely well and was the second most successful PPV of 2020. It was just shy of UFC 246 headlined by Conor McGregor. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense from a business point of view to run it back between the two men.
However, recent exchanges on Twitter might suggest that the champion has something else in mind apart from Jorge Masvidal.

He stated that the American Top Team fighter took the fight at short notice, as he had a built-in excuse. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ then took it a step forward and challenged Masvidal, stating that he would not be able to beat him even with a full training camp.
