‘I Want My Kids To Be Muslims’- Khabib Nurmagomedov Details How He Wants His Kids To Grow Up

Former UFC lightweight champion and now retired mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the best to ever represent MMA. The Dagestani fighter retired as the undisputed lightweight champion who never lost a single professional fight.
One of the reasons he was so successful was that he followed certain principles when he fought inside the ring. In his personal life, too, he follows the way of life set forth by the religion of Islam, something he wishes to inculcate in his children as well.

Speaking in a recent interview, Khabib described how he wishes to raise his children. “I-as a Muslim- do my best to raise my kids as true Muslims,” he said.
“Not just in terms of ethnicity, because their parents are Muslims, but in terms of beliefs. They should understand what that means to be a Muslim- according to Islam, I think, even in this hall there are representatives of different religions and nationalities.”

He added, “My religion is Islam, I’m Muslim and I want my kids to be Muslims as well. Monotheists. Those are the fundamentals we believe in.”

Khabib (29-0) dominated the ring for the entirety of his career. It’s never easy to achieve the feat if a person doesn’t have a motivation that keeps pushing a person higher and higher. The Dagestani native too has his own set of motivational factors.
During the same interview, Khabib described what makes him so successful in the sport. “Well, if you are an athlete and you want to achieve certain results, certain things push you, give you motivation.

“In life, it’s your family, your kids, or something else. Life goes on, it doesn’t end when your sports career is over. You have to go on and live life with your close ones, your relatives, your family. I just don’t know what else to say,” he concluded.
Well, Khabib is a man of principles. But his fans certainly want him to break one of his principles, i.e. not coming back to the octagon. After all, he retired so young and was on top of his game.
