‘It’s a Win on My Record’- Dustin Poirier Slams Conor McGregor for His Excuses Following Second TKO Loss

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier clashed in one of the most epic trilogies in UFC history at UFC 264. The fight ended in an unfortunate manner when McGregor broke his leg following an impact with Poirier’s elbow. What unfolded after the incident was a war of words between two men in the octagon, with Poirier branding McGregor a ‘dirtbag’ and McGregor insulting both ‘The Diamond’ and his wife Jolie.
In a recent podcast with Teddy Atlas, Poirier shared his thoughts on what went down and the excuses that have been coming from the McGregor camp following his loss.

‘The Diamond’ continued, “There were a lot of excuses in the last one too. He was getting ready to box. He wasn’t focused on mixed martial arts. He was getting ready to fight Manny Pacquiao. You know, a lot of reasons, a lot of excuses….. I can’t say if he did or did not have [an injury]. You know in your phone, you can save your camera, like a file with pictures? He might have had a file with a bunch of ankle-wrapped up pictures that said ‘Plan B.” (h/t mmafighting.com)

Dustin Poirier berates Conor McGregor and his antics
Poirier is now 2-1 against McGregor. ‘The Diamond’ is cognizant of the fact that there will be a fourth fight between the two men at some point down the line. However, he has been extremely critical of the way McGregor has handed both losses.

Following his loss at UFC 257, McGregor stated he was preparing for a boxing fight and had to switch mid-way to get into an octagon. This time around McGregor and his team claimed he had stress fractures going into the fight, which aggravated during the fight leading to a full fracture of the bone.
