Kevin Lee is changing weight classes once again. The former interim lightweight title challenger is moving up from the weight class where he made his name and established himself as a top contender once again. Lee moved up to welterweight in May 2019 when he took on Rafael dos Anjos. The fight did not go his way as he succumbed to a loss against ‘RDA’.
After the fight, Lee moved back down to 155-pounds and secured a stunning knockout win over Gregor Gillespie. In his next fight, he took on the red-hot Charles Oliveira.
Lee succumbed to a loss as he dove right into a guillotine choke and was submitted in round three. ‘The Motown Phenom’ also missed weight, coming in at 158.5 pounds. Consequently, he has decided to move back up in weight once again.

A move up in weight to 170-pounds makes sense for Lee given that he has had trouble multiple times in the past making weight at 155-pounds.
