Kamaru Usman will defend his belt later this month against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. The sold-out event will be the first time fans will be in attendance in full capacity since UFC 248. 15,000 fans will witness not one, but three title fights on the night.
The main event between ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and ‘Gamebred’ is a quick turnaround rematch for the champion. He will take on a fighter he thoroughly dominated in their first fight not too long ago.
With Jorge Masvidal fighting for the title once again, Colby Covington missed out on an opportunity for a rematch. ‘Chaos’ is not happy about the way the situation has played out.

Colby Covington slams Kamaru Usman for his recent comments
In a recent interview, Brett Okamoto of ESPN asked ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ what he made of Colby Covington’s performance against Tyron Woodley and why he was not considered for a title shot.
The champion stated that he needed to see more activity from the former interim champion. Usman said that even though he looked impressive against Woodley, he did not continue to rack up wins, and thus it did not entice the champion to grant a rematch.

Spoken like a true coward who doesn’t want to face the rightful #1 contender. The rankings have chosen and so have the people Marty. Just say the truth: you know you can’t win and you’d rather fight bums like Street Judas for easy pay checks. @USMAN84kg https://t.co/XtQbs5lnFR

The comments did not sit well with Covington who responded on Twitter saying, “Spoken like a true coward who doesn’t want to face the rightful #1 contender.
