Daniel Cormier is one of the most accomplished fighters in the UFC. ‘DC’ as he is affectionately known transitioned from freestyle wrestling to MMA. Cormier made the Olympic team twice; once as the captain. Unfortunately, the closest he came to a podium place was fourth in Athens 2004.

Using his wrestling as a base, Cormier established himself as one of the finest MMA fighters in the world. His accomplishments inside the octagon are second to none. He remains one of the best fighters to have ever step foot into the octagon.

Cormier is a student of the game. He loves to give back and help up-and-coming athletes with all the knowledge he has amassed over the years. He is a diligent teammate and also the coach for a local wrestling team.

Cormier has been in the same shoes as Ceron. If Francisco was to transition to MMA after his wrestling career, as a mentor, it does not get any better than Daniel Cormier.

Also, given the praise the former two-division world champion has showered on Ceron, MMA fans will be hoping to see him in an octagon sooner rather than later.
