Recently, he took to Twitter and shared a post describing his motivation to fight and also took a dig at Poirier describing him as a clown.
“July 10th I will do this absolutely flawlessly. We have these clowns sussed and fully! They wanna play a game of tactics? No problem, see you in there. You’ve awoken a beast. A beast with the backing of a much higher power! Say your prayers,” he said.

McGregor fought Poirier at the start of the year and was determined to pick yet another victory over him. Little did he know Poirier could put up an excellent leg striking display and end his reign of not losing by KO/TKO.
Not only that, but he also broke McGregor’s leg, which forced authorities to suspend the latter on medical grounds for 6 months.
Recent stats of Conor McGregor
The dominant word associated with McGregor has somewhat dwindled in recent times. He has won only thrice in his last 6 fights and lost to some of the biggest names in the business.
