Recently, ATP shared a statistic that deep-dived into the return position of players at the Nitto ATP Finals from 2018 to 2020.
While looking at Medvedev’s first-serve return contact point during his round-robin match against Alexander Zverev, it averaged a staggering 5.51 meters behind the baseline. Medvedev’s extreme return position was the deepest return position among all the players over the three last years at the ATP Nitto Finals.
