Brad Keselowski Leads NASCAR Reactions in Paying Tribute to Hall-of-Famer After Sad Death

Earlier, tragedy struck the NASCAR community when news broke that Hall of Famer Ned Jarrett’s wife passed away. His son, Dale Jarrett, confirmed the news, saying that she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Of course, the loss deeply saddened many. Martha was his second wife, after he and his first wife, Olene Rebecca Proctor, divorced in the mid-1950s. In all, Ned and Martha were happily married for 67 years. Among the many people sending their condolences was Brad Keselowski.
The Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver was pretty devastated and declared that he was thinking of him. Keselowski could sympathize because he knew what it was like to lose a loved one. In 2021, the demise of his father Bob Keselowski deeply affected him. Other drivers who sent their condolences were David Ragan, Garrett Smithley, Kevin Lepage, and Kyle Petty.

Brad Keselowski was not the only one paying tribute
Even the Joe Gibbs Racing team was quick to extend their condolences for Jarrett’s loss. Ned is best known for winning the 1961 and 1965 NASCAR Cup Series championships and winning 50 races. Meanwhile, his son Dale Jarrett was the 1999 Cup Series champion and boasts of 32 Cup wins.

Coming back to Brad Keselowski, he will be hard at work preparing for the start of the 2023 season. Sadly, he failed to qualify for the Clash at the Coliseum, as did his teammate Chris Buescher. This marked the second time in a row that the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing team failed to qualify for the Clash.

Now, all that they can do is rue what could have been and then move on. Next up on the calendar is the Daytona 500, which is pretty much a dream for any NASCAR driver. The big question is, can Keselowski and Buescher redeem themselves in the coming race? Buescher had proven last year that the car is capable of winning, so they will be motivated.
