Noah Gragson really took one on behalf of the team it seems. The rookie he claimed since no one was confronting Ross Chastain, he decided to do it. Of course, there were personal motivations involved there too on Gragson’s end. But if Freddie Kraft, the spotter of Bubba Wallace is to be believed, the rookie should’ve taken out a page from someone else’s book.

It’s worth noting at this point that the context of the spotter’s comments were more in the light of Chastain and Gragson’s on track incident rather than what happened in the pit lane at Kansas.

Anyway, that someone who Wallace’s spotter thinks Gragson should’ve kept in mind is Kyle Larson, and in his opinion, the rookie should’ve done to Chastain to teach him a lesson what Larson generally does.

In a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Kraft opened up on what he thinks Noah Gragson should’ve done to Ross Chastain when it comes to their feud on track after listening to his radio message.

“I’ll give him credit, at least he didn’t just get out of the car and said, ‘Somebody should beat him up.’ But you gotta make a better attempt next time, on the racetrack and off,” Kraft said. “So what were you trying to do there? Do what (Kyle) Larson did, get in front of him and block, if you see he runs the top, run the top and block him.”

“But when you take a swipe at him, miss, and it actually hurts the guy that’s chasing him, then that doesn’t seem very sensible.”

Speaking in an interview after the race and the pit lane drama, Noah Gragson claimed although he is “over it”, he wouldn’t have minded fighting Ross Chastain if not for the guards that took them away.

“I was ready to fight him. I didn’t even get a shot in because the security guards got in the middle of it,” he said as per UPI. 

Gragson claimed nobody has “the confidence” to go and confront Chastain in the NASCAR garage considering his various incidents with various drivers in the last year and a half.

“At least just grab him and do something or he’s just going to keep doing it,” the rookie added.
