Dale Earnhardt Jr Issues Open Challenge to NASCAR Community: “I’d Like to See It”

Back in the day when restrictor plate racing was the norm for super-speedways like Daytona and Talladega. Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr used to be regarded as the most dominating driver racing restrictor plates in his days. Recently, a fan posted a tweet claiming how great Junior was in racing with plates back in the day. Soon Jr. himself took his time to respond.

A fan posted a series of pictures and videos of Dale Earnhardt Jr and his car with the caption, That time @DaleJr led 88/100 laps @DAYTONA and had a 10-second lead at one point during the race He drove away to 3-second lead by himself in a restrictor plate race & made this race at Daytona like a race at 1.5 #NASCAR #JRNation

Soon Junior himself replied to the tweet stating, If there was a super speedway car better than this one since restrictor plates, I’d like to see it.It is evident that Earnhardt Jr. is sure that no other car after that era would be able to be anything close.

The tweet left NASCAR fans reminiscing about the old days when Earnhardt Jr. used to fly past the field in those cars. Some of them also stated how they loved the old Daytona when the surface used to be bumpy. Others mentioned how they missed the sound of the old cars like the ones driven by Junior.
