“Greatest Event in the World” – NASCAR Star Kyle Larson Thrilled After Consecutive Chili Bowl Titles

2021 could not have gotten off to a better start for Kyle Larson. The newly recruited Hendrick Motorsports driver showcased a classy performance in the final feature race to win this year’s Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals event.
It comes as an addition to his trophy case, having already secured a title win at the same competition in 2020. Winning back-to-back Chili Bowl events would indeed give him tremendous confidence.
This level of confidence only bodes well for him in the 2021 racing season. Larson opened up on his feeling about winning the event, and he had nothing but words of praise.

Thankful to get the chance to race in the Chili Bowl, says Kyle Larson
Larson stated, “To get two of these feels awesome. It was a different race than last year, but just thankful to get the chance to even come race here.”
The 28-year-old impressed in his No.01 midget car during the dirt track racing event. Starting off second, he took the lead soon after. Despite the threat of overtaking after a couple of restarts, Larson held them all off to win the trophy.

“I think a lot of us thought maybe we wouldn’t get to come run the Chili Bowl with the pandemic going on, so hats off to Emmett Hahn and everyone else with this event. It’s the greatest event in the world, and very lucky to be a part of it,” concluded the former Chip Ganassi Racing driver.

Having last featured for Chip Ganassi Racing in the summer of 2020, he will make a fresh start in the Cup Series this season. Naturally, everyone at Hendrick Motorsports will have high expectations from an accomplished driver like Larson.
Fortunately, Larson already has experience starting and winning Cup Series races in the past. With a variety of skills under his belt, he can easily look to make the playoffs in his first year with his new team.
