Recently, Denny Hamlin spoke about the time his pit crew was supposed to go under a few changes. He claimed that Bubba’s pit crew members were offered to him. This was when Denny’s own pit members were suspended. The suspension was due to an incident where his wheel came off during a pit stop.

In an interview, Hamlin stated that “As a matter of fact, when I lost two guys. JGR told me that the best option was to take two people from 23 and put them on my team. They’re the best available that we could grab versus taking two reserves that are on the bench waiting to come up.”

Moreover, he reiterated the point that Bubba’s pit crew should not be given to him. He believes they are young and should have more reps with Bubba to build a solid foundation.
