Jimmie Johnson’s Epic Save to Avoid Scary Crash Leaves NASCAR Fans Gushing

With the IndyCar season wrapped up, it would be fair to say that some of the drivers will be bored. Jimmie Johnson is trying his best to alleviate that boredom. Recently, Johnson was at the Goodwood Revival to participate in the three-day festival. During one particular race, he was behind the wheel of a red AC Cobra Le Mans Coupe.
Sometime during the session, he entered a corner but the rear end stepped out. Somehow, he managed to save the car, locked up the brakes briefly and then let them go.

With that, he managed to regain some semblance of control and avoid hitting the barriers. Naturally, many NASCAR fans went wild and praised the Hendrick Motorsports legend to the high heavens.
What did the NASCAR fans say about the Jimmie Johnson save?
Admittedly, a fair number of people took a dig at Johnson’s decision to race in IndyCar. According to them, the 7-time Cup Series champion was always meant to drive cars with front and rear bumpers and closed wheels.

Others were thrilled that Johnson still has what it takes to be a great driver. Some people even joked that such a wild moment would make anyone soil themselves.

One fan even revealed that he tried the same trick that Jimmie Johnson pulled. This was because he experienced the opposite lock, scrubbed off speed, and then skidded on wet grass. From there, he was simply a passenger as his car hit the wall. Other than that, people were praising Johnson’s exceptional skills.

Currently, though, Johnson is out of a contract for the 2023 IndyCar season. The good news for him is that his sponsorship is sorted because he recently signed a new deal with Carvana.
