While the NASCAR shenanigans for 2024 are yet to get underway, the NFC Championship has been taking not only football fans but also Kyle Larson and Clint Bowyer by storm. With Bowyer’s side, the Kansas City Chiefs securing a spot at the 2024 Super Bowl after defeating the Ravens to the AFC title, the pressure was on Kyle Larson’s side, the San Francisco 49ers.

However, during their match against the Detroit Lions, Bowyer would quickly get the upper hand against his close friend, leading to a hilarious interaction shared by Larson on Twitter, in which he eventually got the last laugh, as the San Francisco 49ers delivered a comeback of the ages to secure a spot alongside the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Kyle Larson has the last laugh as Clint Bowyer’s taunts backfire

During the start of the game, the Detroit Lions were hoping to secure a historic debut in the Super Bowl as the team dominated the first half. With the scoreline reading 24-7, the chances of the 49ers making a 17-point comeback were bleak. But comeback they did. Dazzling performances from Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey saw the 49ers rise to glory by ending the score at 31-35.

While it’s clear why Kyle Larson was so elated at his team making it through, Clint Bowyer’s earlier excitement wasn’t just owing to the 49ers suffering a major defeat. You see, while the 49ers have been the favourites for the Super Bowl since the start, the Lions, a team that’s never made it that far, would have posed a lesser challenge to Clint Bowyer’s side on the 11th of February.

After the 49ers secured victory, Kyle Larson couldn’t help but share the hilarious interaction with the NASCAR community on X. Adding a “🤫” emoji to show how Bowyer had been really silent since the tides had turned. But in the start, it was Bowyer who kicked off the banter by sharing an image in a group chat with the Chiefs jersey, mocking Larson’s side for their first-half mishaps.

While Clint Bowyer wasn’t pulling any punches against the 49ers and Larson, the sheer savagery in his reply, while harmless of course, prompted Lorra Bowyer to add, “That’s mean!!!!! It’s not even half time.” But Bowyer wasn’t having any of it as he continued, “Next year Kyle.” And so far, Larson couldn’t help but remain quiet as he waited for the 49ers to pounce back.

But soon enough, they did. And the tides had turned on Bowyer just as quickly as they had ambushed Larson. Lorra Bowyer delivered a hilarious update on the group chat, “Lmao!! Clint’s backtracking as we speak!” So when the 49ers secured the match against all odds, Larson couldn’t help but reply to the banter. He finally broke the silence from his side by dropping a GIF of Kobe Bryant silencing the haters.
