Taylor Swift is one of the most popular personalities in the world right now. Owing to her success, there are always keen eyes on her. In recent history, her dynamic with NFL and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been a hot topic of discussion. In Sunday’s AFC playoff game between the Bills and the Chiefs, Swift was seen cheering for Kelce from the stands and was subjected to a blend of boos and some love from the fans in Buffalo.

When it comes to garnering a fanbase in sports, NASCAR has been close behind, too. Leading the movement for her following is former NASCAR driver and Missouri Motorsports Hall of Famer Kenny Wallace. As her constant appearance on the NFL TV broadcasts triggered outrage among the fans, Kenny came to Taylor Swift’s defense, clarifying the reason behind such events. Further, he also declared his love for the megastar on Twitter, joining the ‘Swifties’.

Taylor Swift hadn’t visited Buffalo for a tour in over a decade. However, showing support for Travis Kelce when she entered the Highmark Stadium brought forth a mixed reaction from the audience. On the other hand, some of the fans who watched the AFC game on their TVs were agitated by the constant shifting of the camera towards Swift.

Addressing the frustration of those fans, Kenny Wallace posted a video on Twitter explaining his stance on it. He said, “You say they showed Taylor Swift. I’m going to educate you on why they show Taylor Swift.”

“When you do TV, they have a production team. There’s a guy called the director. The director directs his people. They’ll say camera three, show Taylor Swift, and camera three goes to her. You have to go to the director and say why did you show Taylor Swift? Most likely, the director is going to say that there are eight people who like Taylor Swift, and there are only two that doesn’t like her. So the people that are doing the yapping are a very small majority but very loud.”

Taylor Swift has turned out to be one of the most celebrated people in the world. Her fanbase has grown exponentially over the years and continues to do so. From the looks of it, Kenny Wallace has also been enchanted by her music catalog, and he announced the same in an earlier tweet.

Kenny Wallace left the FOX Sports broadcast booth in 2018. Having worked with the broadcasting sector for a long time, Kenny understood the reason behind the camera moving to Swift very often. Hitting back at the critics for their unjustified hatred, Herman emphasized the role of the broadcast director in the game.

While one might feel that Kenny might have posted this just to mess with some of the people on social media, some might have taken it seriously too. From the unexpected turn of events, it seems that Taylor Swift might have found another fan among popular sports personalities in America.

I instantly fell in love with the sport as I witnessed the cars' breakneck speeds and the robust nature of the sport and its drivers. As I had a deep-rooted interest in automobiles, the sport naturally piqued my interest in a jiffy. Kyle Busch and his cutthroat style of racing played an important role in getting me hooked to stock car racing as I hopped on streams to watch him win races.
