The NBA reinstated Draymond Green on Saturday following his suspension on the 12th of December. Green missed 12 games for hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkić in the face. Since then the four-time NBA champion has had a long time to think about his actions off the hardwood floor. At the same time, the Golden State Warriors have been dealing with a rough patch of games and spiraling down in an uneven regular season.

In a recent appearance on his own ‘Draymond Green Show’, he reflects on his off time. The 33-year-old is ‘thankful’ for the constant support he got from his teammates and he also gives a special shout-out to LeBron James for showing him massive support. Green said, “Bron checking in, yo. Just want you to know we with you. We love you, champ, like we riding with you. Do whatever you got to do, know that we with you.”

He also gave a massive shout-out to fellow dubs superstar Chris Paul, but Green primarily made it a point to thank Stephen Curry for being with him through this difficult time. “I sincerely apologize to Steph for my actions because that was a tough pill to swallow. Very thankful for Steph, as I’ve been out during this time, talking every day, every other day, just checking in,” said the former Defensive Player of the Year.

This appearance is a breath of fresh air for the Warrior fans as Green looks composed. His gratitude is also reassuring because it is his second suspension this season. The first one came when he punched Rudy Gobert in the face for attacking fellow Dub vet Klay Thompson. The recent loss against the Toronto Raptors also is an indication that the Dubs need their power forward.

The Warrior’s latest struggle against the Raptors

During the 6th game of their 7-game home series, the Golden State Warriors faced defeat against the Toronto Raptors, displaying a performance below their usual winning standard. Despite Klay Thompson’s energetic 11-point surge in the third quarter, the team’s aspirations were thwarted by Stephen Curry’s poorest shooting night of the season. Additionally, the lack of substantial contributions from other players enabled the Raptors to dominate the entire game.
