Devin Booker has to be among the top young players in the league. Despite that, he still hasn’t won a ring yet. That is not to say he has not come close to it, though. Book had a fruitless trip to the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. This unsuccessful championship stint sticks out like a sore thumb for the three-time All-star.

In a recent post-game interview, Booker was asked if he would rather have an NBA championship or a gold medal. The 27-year-old replied, “I’m taking that ring. I already have a gold medal”. The question was in reference to the upcoming Paris 2024 Paris Olympics, where another version of this era’s ‘dream team’ is being assembled.

While fans are excited to see their favorite stars suit up for Team USA, especially after the humiliating FIBA loss, Booker has other priorities. He has already won a gold medal in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, so that isn’t on his list anymore. D-Book has his eyes firmly set on the prize, which happens to be an NBA championship.

However, with ramblings of Kevin Durant on the hunt for his next NBA home, the championship window seems to be narrowing for Booker, at least with the current rooster. This year, after Chirs Paul was traded to the Warriors, the Suns brought in Bradley Beal. While he was a welcomed addition to the roster, he has only played 23 out of 47 games this season. Booker himself was out with an ankle injury and has only played 38 games so far.

So, with the core crew of KD, Beal, and Book back healthy again, can the Phoenix Suns win this season?

Is a ring in the books for Devin Booker and the Suns?

The season didn’t start on a high note for the Phoenix Suns, except for the fact the Slim Reaper was taking over every game in the absence of Booker and Beal. Now, the Suns sit at the 6th seed in the Western Conference after all its stars have returned to health. Phoenix has won the last three out of the five games they have played and all their starters look to be in order.
