Yesterday, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in a closely-fought game. The Warriors have won their second consecutive game after a disappointing start to the season. Going into the game, the Warriors were heavy favorites. However, the Blazers provided a tough match-up for the Dubs. The game finished 118-114 in favor of the Warriors.

Despite the Warriors securing a win, Stephen Curry only managed to score 7 points. He shot 0-8 from the 3-point line. This ended Curry’s streak of scoring at least one 3-pointer in his last 268 games. In regards to Curry’s off-night, Blazers’ star Anfernee Simons revealed the strategy they employed to slow Curry down.

Post-game, when talking to the media, Anfernee Simons explained, “Just communication. Somebody with Steph sometimes he’s gonna shoot crazy shots, and kind of gotta pray he misses. But, I think we did a pretty good job on him today.” Despite limiting Steph to one of his worst shooting nights, the Blazers’ lack of experience became evident. Klay Thompson and Wiggins stepped up against Portland. Klay scored 28 points, while Wiggins recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds coming off the bench.
