If memory serves correctly, Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards made a playful vow during All-Star Weekend this year to only shoot with his left hand. True to form, he did just that, missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc leaving the internet in a frenzy.  Tonight’s showdown against the Denver Nuggets saw Edwards pull off some hilarious antics reminiscent of his trolling nature back in the All-Star skills challenge.

With only 46 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, as he prepared to shoot a free throw, Anthony Edwards glanced over to his team and the crowd, seemingly asking if he should shoot left-handed. The act left everyone watching in stitches. The Ant-Man ended up chipping in 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists leading his team to a 111-98 win over the Nuggets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (51-22) silenced the spectators, cementing their place atop the Western Conference with a convincing 111-98 victory over the Denver Nuggets (48-25) tonight.

The shorthanded Nuggets, missing Jamal Murray (knee inflammation), seemed to be quickly overwhelmed by the Minnesota team from the get-go.  The Wolves’ efficiency showed some remarkable stat: 19 first-half assists with zero turnovers.

Despite finishing with a 32-point double-double, Jokic didn’t seem in the best spirit, missing his first 4 shots and coughing up an uncharacteristic 4 turnovers. Michael Porter Jr., known for torching the Wolves in the past, started hot but did not come through with the scoring punch that the Nuggets desperately needed.

The Wolves On Top

The Wolves, on the other hand, were a well-oiled machine. Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in a neat 21-point double-double on a highly efficient night (8 attempts). Jaden McDaniels continued his hot streak, dropping 17 points on a 70% shooting night. The backcourt duo of Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards provided steady scoring, combining for 48 points and 13 assists.

The Wolves’ bench, once a source of concern for the fans, continues to be on a heater. Defensively, the Wolves were a force to be reckoned with. Their stingy defense limited Denver to under 100 points for the 21st time this season, further establishing their identity as one of the league’s toughest defensive teams. This victory marked their 2nd win over the Nuggets this season, with 1 final intense matchup coming up on April 10th in Denver.

Now, they return home for a 3-game homestand, starting with a matchup against DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
