Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown has been maintaining the momentum of his team this ongoing NBA season. During his first 50 games, Brown has managed to average 22 points, 3.7 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals. His contribution to the score total has helped the Celtics lead in the Eastern Conference and emerge as one of the best teams in the league if not the best. Just like most of the players, however, Brown has been the recipient of a few injuries.

Having recently emerged to the playing field after recovering from a low back tightness injury, the 3x NBA All Star now seems to have been suffering from a shoulder injury. Given the situation, Celtics fans were unsure of the 27-year-old’s availability for the next game. Their minds, however, would seem to ease after the release of the latest injury report by the official site of the NBA, which did not mention Jaylen Brown’s name. This means that the player will be available to participate in the Celtics’ upcoming game against the Chicago Bulls. Given that Brown’s team is currently occupying the first spot in the conference with a 43-12 record while the Bulls are in the 9 position, the stakes of the game are not that high. Still, it would be nice for Celtics fans to welcome back a key player to the roster.

It was only a week ago when Brown developed a right shoulder contusion. It didn’t seem to bother him when he faced off against the Brooklyn Nets last Tuesday, averaging 19 points and 4 assists. However, after further observation, he was ruled out of a rematch the next day. 11 days later, the player seems to be all better and ready to face off the six-time NBA champions.

Jaylen Brown’s commendable performance during the All-Star Dunk Contest did not maintain the spotlight.

Jaylen Brown’s shoulder injury started to look like an unfortunate piece of luck, since the NBA All-Star Weekend was set to take place within the next few days. The injury, however, didn’t convince the player to drop out of participating, leading him and Jayson Tatum to participate as representatives of the Celtics. During the Dunk Contest, the player managed to advance to the final round. Despite his performance in delivering a commendable dunk, Brown still managed to lose to defending champion Mac McClung.

Despite the fact that Brown performed well in light of his injury, many NBA fans started to divert their attention to the problems associated with the contest, especially the way the scores were being handled. Many people, including former NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, believed that Brown’s 47.6/50 score was too generous.
