Despite losing the contest, Sabrina Ionescu has moved mountains just with her fighting spirit. And Warriors’ superstar’s words stand tall as proof. She went up against Stephen Curry in the 3-point challenge and almost took home the glory. Nevertheless, she won fans’ hearts across the globe. The 4x NBA Champion went on record following the game and dropped a message to his daughters.

The duo stopped by for a brief interview after the contest, and the interviewer asked what message would Steph deliver to his daughters after Sabrina’s inspiring performance. Before dropping the message, he revealed that both his daughters hate basketball. The 4x Champion said, “The confidence. No matter what they go after in life. Neither one of them likes basketball. Whatever it is, they apply the same determination, confidence… they can accomplish anything.”

After dropping the message to his daughter, he went on to praise Sabrina. Stephen Curry appreciated the 26-year-old star’s fearless attitude to take the center stage infront of the legends of the game. Moreover, he also wanted the WNBA star to not just inspire his kids but also the children across the globe.

Curry’s daughters have been a regular audience at Warriors’ game. He also brought their daughters to the post-game press conferences multiple time, but it turned out to be a shocker when he revealed that both his daughters hate basketball.

Maybe Sabrina’s performance tonight could tune in the love for the game and have them back on the court. On the other hand, Steph’s son, Canon Curry, could follow his dad’s foot path and become another shooting machine.

Sabrina inspires off the court

Following the contest, Sabrina addressed the kids around the globe with soaring words of confidence. She said, “I didn’t back down from the challenge and going up against the best shooter this game has ever seen — and shooting from the NBA line to show all those young kids to not be scared in doing something that has never been done before.”

Moreover, the fans could expect more of this in the coming season. As Steph still hasn’t beaten Sabrina’s mammoth total of 37 points in the 3-point contest, the league could extend the competition to next year as well. Moreover, the New York Liberty star also hinted at Caitlin Clark’s role in snatching the championship belt.
