However, after spending the summer there, he decided to transfer to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. Unfortunately, three months later, he transferred back to his former school, Sierra Canyon.
However, his good decision-making skills served him right, as his current high school surpassed his former school in the Top 25 High School Rankings.

In the Los Angeles Times’ ranking of 25 high school boys’ basketball teams in the Southland, Sierra Canyon managed to secure 7th place since their recent transfer, guard Ethan Johnson, a top scorer from Chaminade, will be eligible to join the team this week. However, his former school, Notre Dame, was ranked one position lower since they’ll be facing a challenging schedule in the week ahead. Their first game after Christmas break will be against the Sylmar Spartans, where they’ll look for a 12th straight win. The opponents for the rest of the games for the week are yet to be decided.

Despite the rankings, the results show that Notre Dame has been performing significantly better than Sierra Canyon. While the Trailblazers are 10-1, going 4-0 at home and 6-1 at a neutral site, the Green Knights are 11-0, with a convincing 5-0 at home, 2-0 away, and 4-0 at a neutral site.
Why did Bryce leave Notre Dame?
Bryce’s move to Notre Dame was allegedly to improve his NIL Value. In addition to that, Sherman Oaks also provided an ideal atmosphere for him to grow and hone his skills further. To top it off, the high school was just 40 minutes away from USC, where his brother Bronny had enrolled. But there was a hitch. According to the CIF transfer rules, Bryce was ineligible to play in the first half of Notre Dame’s season, which only offers an exemption for a change of address. However, since he did not play for Notre Dame, he was immediately eligible to play for Sierra Canyon.
