LeBron James, now 39, is the oldest active player in the league. However, his credentials would prove that he is much more than just that. The legend of King James is widespread among players and fans alike in the NBA. Despite being a four-time champion and four-time regular season MVP, the reason for him being beloved is not his accolades, but the amount of hard work he puts into his skills every day consistently.

While in conversation with Sam Okauru, Quin Cook, the two-time NBA champion, shared a particular story of his early days in the league. Cook came in for a practice that was scheduled for 10 o’clock. Cook shares that this changed his entire perspective adding, “I had a different respect. Like, this stuff doesn’t happen by accident, obviously. These guys are generational players; they’re gifts from God. Like, they’re just different, but they work for it too, you know what I’m saying? They add to hard work.”

With every team that he has worked with, LeBron has given his absolute best and has helped in the rise of many storied franchises, one of them being the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite dominating all these years, the Los Angeles Lakers‘s steady decline, however, might be a concern for Bron.

Continuous defeats, subpar performances, and internal issues have infiltrated the Lakers’ ranks in recent times. Following three consecutive losses, the team, boasting 17 championships, faces a period of reflection. From the underwhelming displays of role players to the constant adjustments in the coach’s lineups, the Lakers seem to be grappling with multiple challenges. Even LeBron James couldn’t hide his frustration amid these struggles.

The recent revelation about Lakers’ head coach, Darvin Ham, has sent shockwaves through the NBA community. The 50-year-old’s inability to guide the team to a higher seed has jeopardized his position. Coaching one of the NBA’s most successful teams is undoubtedly a demanding task. With uncertainties surrounding Ham’s job, the path to redemption for the Lakers appears increasingly daunting. Nevertheless, having players of the caliber of LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their lineup undoubtedly enhances their prospects.
