LeBron James Lauds D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis for Carrying the Torch as Lakers Bulldoze Pistons

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were handed one of their worst losses ever in their previous matchup against the 76ers. But the team was quick to bounce back as they got the win against Detroit tonight. Numerous players contributed on both ends of the floor, but there were two who stood out from the rest.

LBJ spoke to the media after their win over the Detroit Pistons. And could not help but shower his teammates, D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis, with praise and appreciation as the Lakers bulldozed past the Pistons.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Detroit Pistons was clearly a show put on by the stars. All three All-Stars on the Lakers roster came to play as each player had 25 points or more against Detroit.

Given how the Pistons are struggling this season, the Lakers made sure to take advantage of it and get back in their groove. After the game, LeBron James spoke to the media about tonight’s win and his teammate’s efforts.

Asked if there was a guaranteed way to win, James said, “No, you don’t predetermine anything. Somebody says that we’ve been trying to get better and work on all this season. And tonight was able to work.”

“I think DLo and AD got it started obviously with the hot streak they had in the first quarter and then we just all tried to pick it up after that.”

James was also asked about his views on the return of Jarred Vanderbilt and how it would help the team. The King mentioned how they are one of the best teams in the league defensively and Vanderbilt’s return would obviously benefit them.

A game led by AD & DLo

The Lakers took care of business, defeating the Detroit Pistons with the final score of 133-107. D’Angelo Russell led the team in scoring with a 35-point performance, along with 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Russell had one of his much better shooting games, going 13-17 from the field.

Anthony Davis followed suit with a 28-point 16-rebound double-double. He also had 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal to go along with those stats. As LeBron James said in the interview, D-Lo and AD led the way and the rest followed.

James had a healthy 25-point game, along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. A scoring outburst from all three Lakers’ All-Stars was more than enough to get the win and send the Pistons home packing.
