NBA Insider Shams Charania reported that the Sacramento Kings are deciding to pull out of the Pascal Siakam trade talks. Although things can be fluid, the talks between the Kings and the Raptors are over for now. The Kings had reportedly made an offer for Siakam in hopes of forming a Big 3 in Sacramento. They wanted Siakam to play alongside superstars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. That would have been a major addition to the Kings’ roster and helped them make a deeper run in the playoffs. However, the Kings will have to keep those dreams aside for now.

Meanwhile, the Kings pulling out of the trade talks could prove great news for the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry and Co. are having major struggles this season, and they might be in desperate need of a new superstar. There have been rumors about the Warriors emerging as the dark horse for Siakam’s new trade destination. If that is the case, Siakam might be a great addition to the struggling Warriors roster.

The Warriors could use Siakam’s two-way presence and championship experience. Golden State’s 21-year-old forward Jonathan Kuminga could be the centerpiece of the trade if the Warriors decide to make an offer to the Raptors. Kuminga is having a tough time dealing with his minutes in the rotation and he could be the perfect young player for the Raptors rebuild. Do you believe the Warriors should make a move to acquire Pascal Siakam?
