The Milwaukee Bucks had the best record in the Eastern Conference last season. Alas, the team could not move past the first round of the playoffs after facing an upsetting knockout at the hands of the Miami Heat. Now, with Antetokounmpo sticking to his word, veteran NBA analysts break down what he actually meant by that. And by the looks of it, the reign of The Greek Freak might as well come to an end in Milwaukee.

While on the podcast, Lowe asked Shelbourne to give her views on Antetokounmpo’s statement. She said, “Giannis being very on-message. I feel like when somebody starts to repeat the same verbage, like I only want to be there if we all want to be on the same page and win a championship. He’s clearly workshopped that answer.”

“That is going to be his answer, his coded language for I am not going to stay if we don’t have a championship team.” Shelbourne also went on to add, “It gives us clarity. It gives everyone in Milwaukee clarity.”

“It gives everyone in the league clarity that this is what Giannis is thinking about. He’s not bluffing, he’s not just trying to get attention. This is where his head is, adjust accordingly.”
