Wednesday’s Detroit Pistons vs Philadelphia 76ers ended in Philly taking home the win. But not without the Pistons giving them something to remember; more specifically, the veteran guard Patrick Beverley. Late in the third quarter, Beverley and the 22-year-old forward-center of the Pistons got into it.
And tonight, right before the game began, Patrick Beverley looked determined to take it up from where they left off.

The below video shows Isaiah Stewart, a. k .a. “Beef Stew” walking up to the 35-year-old Pat and saying something that was enough to rile him up. The exchange didn’t last for longer than a minute or two, but it’s clear that whatever he said did the trick.

Yet to know what the conversation was about, all we have now are speculations. Entering halftime, the 76ers were leading by 22 points (61-39) and it looked like the Pistons might be en route to their 22nd loss.

So far, Stewart and Pat Bev haven’t drawn blood. But Beverley played for just six minutes (at the time of writing) and “Stew” is still on. Until something happens (hopefully not; we don’t want Stewart or even Bev, for that matter, to take Draymond’s place), let’s take a look at their last scuffle.
Stewart was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul in their previous matchup
If someone were to watch the video where Isaiah pushed Pat on Wednesday night for the first time, the first reaction would be to wonder whether it was personal. The Pistons are known for their severe aggressive play. So for an opponent to make the first move is like plastering a big ‘X’ on your back. Not wasting any time, “Beef Stew” readied himself to set a screen on Beverley and, without any hesitation, extended his left arm fully.

The commentators could be heard saying that Stew “didn’t even bother selling the hit”. The result was an immediate ejection on the grounds of a flagrant 2 foul. Let’s hope that this squabble doesn’t go further than this. Detroit cannot afford a rocky teammate on top of its apparent struggles.
