Suns Injury Report: Update On Bradley Beal’s Hamstring Drops Hours Before Pistons Match Up
Follow Us
In the Phoenix Suns‘ last game with the Kings, Bradley Beal left the floor with a hamstring injury. Despite winning the thriller 130-125, the Suns ultimately came out with a setback. Beal’s injury woes have limited his on-court present with the Suns to just 30 games out of 54, which proved to be detrimental to them. Because of Devin Booker and Beal being absent, the Big Three couldn’t find their groove, resulting in the Suns lagging in the standings in the first half of the season.
After just having found a footing, another injury threatens to derail the Sun’s momentum when they go to face the Pistons tonight. So, head Coach Frank Vogel spoke to the media today to give an update on the three-time All-Star’s availability. “They don’t think it’s too serious“, said Vogel as he’s calling it a left hamstring strain, further adding, “I know he’s out tomorrow. I don’t know what they call it exactly. But he pulled his hamstring. Strained his hamstring – I’ll call it a strain, a hamstring strain“.

Vogel also added, “Hopefully with the break right after (Tuesday’s game), he doesn’t miss too much more time. We’ll see where he’s at”.
Beal barely played 5 minutes in the first half During Tuesday’s Kings-Suns game, before suffering from this injury. He only scored 5 points on 2-of-2 shooting, after which, he left for the locker room with 7:21 remaining in the first quarter. Eventually, he was ruled out for the remainder of the match.
This isn’t the first time he’s missing games. Of all the 54 games they’ve played this season, Beal has only been a part of 30 games. He’s missed many games because of different injuries. This time around, it is the first hamstring injury this season for him, with him now snapping out of a straight 24-game streak. His streak did not even break when he broke his nose on January 26 or despite spraining his ankle just last week.
So far, Beal has been averaging 18.7 points on 49.3% shooting, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists this season.
Was taking Bradley Beal out of the King’s game a smart move?
Many were caught off guard by Bradley Beal’s abrupt departure on Tuesday, with no clear indication of when the injury occurred. Speculation suggests it could be a precautionary move by the Phoenix Suns, a team heavily reliant on the well-being of its key players for their championship aspirations in the competitive Western Conference.
