Being a celebrity comes with its own set of difficulties. And professional athletes are no different. With an entire city counting on them to lead their respective team to glory, fans always want a piece of them wherever they go. This is the case with Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry as well. 

Months before making a huge $50 million business investment, Stephen Curry revealed the things he had to go through as well. And how being the face of the NBA comes with its own sets of challenges.

NBA stars easily manage to fill up arenas and fans line up just to catch a glimpse of them. Given Stephen Curry’s popularity and what he has done for the Bay Area, it is natural for the public to go gaga over The Chef wherever they see him.

However, this creates a challenge for Curry in order to lead a normal life and moreover, give his children some memories and experiences. During an old interview with CharlotteObserver, Curry was asked if it was tiring to be an NBA superstar.

To that, Curry said, “It is. The times that it gets difficult is just when you’re with your family and you’re trying to give the kids an experience that they will remember, and a healthy childhood. So when we’re out in public, it becomes tough to protect your privacy and your time.”

It is natural for fans to get autographs and pictures with their favorite sports icons. But it does tend to get difficult for the athlete or celebrity when he is out with his family and just wants some quiet and alone time with them.

Stephen Curry’s $50 million investment

Protecting one’s privacy has become a vital part of everyone’s lives nowadays. And for celebrities, it has become second nature. And Stephen Curry has been making some smart business moves lately. 

Months before his interview, Curry invested an amount of $50 million in an Israeli cybersecurity startup. The company is also backed by his former teammate, Omri Casspi. The company is valued at $300 million.

Not only that but both Steph and his his Ayesha also aim to raise another $50 million for the community of Oakland. The money will go to schools in the Oakland area which will aim for kids to get better food, safe play areas, and books for every child.
