Misery continues for Bradley Beal. The Phoenix Suns went head-to-head against the Indiana Pacers tonight. And the Suns’ shooting guard Bradley Beal suffered another massive blow in his rollercoaster of a season. Beal has missed more than half the Suns’ games this season due to multiple injuries. And tonight, a horrific moment jeopardized his playing time once again.

During the 3rd quarter, Beal took an inadvertent elbow to his nose from Myles Turner while the Pacers Center drove to the rim for a layup. Beal was trying to take a charge from Turner, but it cost him. He fell to the floor after the impact and covered his face, writhing in pain. The play was stopped, and Beal’s teammates rushed to his aid. The shooting guard had a bloody nose and was immediately rushed to the locker room while he covered his injury with a towel.

Beal played 24 minutes before leaving the game and scored 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Miraculously, he returned to the floor in the 4th quarter with cotton plugs inside his nose to stop the bleeding. The severity of Beal’s injury is unknown, but it looks like he was not hurt enough to sit tonight’s game out. That is a good sign for the Phoenix Suns because the 30-year-old has already missed a huge chunk of the season due to injury.

Bradley Beal’s debut Suns season has been unlucky

The Phoenix Suns had a lot of expectations from Bradley Beal when they acquired him last summer. The Suns gave up their starting point guard and veteran leader, Chris Paul, to make room for the former Washington Wizards superstar. However, Beal’s debut season with the Suns has been disappointing, to say the least.

And most of it is not his fault. Beal missed several games at the beginning of the season due to a back injury. He finally made his highly anticipated debut but injured his ankle last month during a game against the New York Knicks. Beal has played only 20 games this season. Even when Beal is on the floor, he has struggled to find consistency due to the missed time.

Beal is averaging 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. That is his lowest scoring average since the 2016-17 season. When healthy, Beal can be one of the most lethal scorers in the league. He proved that in Washington by becoming their primary scorer and franchise player. Phoenix Suns fans want Beal to return to his All-Star form and stay healthy for the rest of the season. Hopefully, tonight’s injury will not cause Bradley Beal to miss more games in the future.
