As the regular season continues in full swing and in a somewhat frustrating fashion for some teams, the All-Star Weekend is around the corner to give the fans a respite. Not just the fans, but the players will also find it to be a stress reliever. The NBA has been experimenting with various ideas this season and the latest addition is the NBA vs WNBA three-point contest. The contestants for this are none other than the 2x 3-point contest champion, Stephen Curry and the WNBA rising star, Sabrina Ionescu.

Titled ‘Stephen vs Sabrina’, there is no doubt that the excitement for this matchup is beyond words! Curry himself seems to be quite thrilled as he issues a challenge ahead of the contest.

Speaking on the post-game show after the Warriors win vs the 76ers, Steph was visibly happy about the 3-point contest. He called it the “coolest thing ever,” before casually mentioning, “Obviously, I’m coming to win it.” Stephen Curry sits at the top of the all-time record for the most three-points made – 3,577 in just 922 games!

His WNBA counterpart isn’t any less of a threat. Sabrina had broken the WNBA record for three-point field goals made in a single season with 128. Steph spoke highly of his opponent, listing her achievements and commending her confidence. After the exciting event was officially announced by the league, Curry tweeted with the caption, “Stage is set! Let’s get it!” tagging Ionescu at the end. The New York Liberty guard, for her part, answered in kind, taking the challenge to the next level.
