NBA All-Star 2020 Game captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo chose their teams for this year’s matchup, which will take place in Chicago on Sunday, Feb. 16. All-Star captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo have made their draft picks. All-Star Saturday night participants have been unveiled. Rising Stars and Celebrity Game rosters are set.
Instead of the traditional East vs. West format, the NBA moved to a new format in 2018, where two captains pick the teams from a pool of 24 players who are voted in by fans, media and players.

The captains are the All-Star starters who earn the most fan votes in their respective conferences. Alternating picks, the captains draft the eight remaining players from the starter pool in the first round and then all 14 players from the reserve pool in the second round, making selections without regard to a player’s conference affiliation or position.
The taped draft was shown on TNT’s NBA Tip-Off Thursday prior to the Bucks’ home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

James took Lakers teammate and big man Anthony Davis with the first overall pick, while Antetokounmpo countered with Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.
According to ESPN Stats and Information research, Team LeBron will have six of the top 10 scorers in the NBA this season (Harden, Lillard, Doncic, Leonard, Davis and James). To make matters worse for Team Giannis fans, LeBron’s squad has the edge in rebounds, assists, steals and 3-pointers made this season. Team Giannis has the edge in blocks, field goal percentage, 3-point percentage and dunks.
