The Golden State Warriors have had a tough start to the 2022-23 season. As they went 6-9 before their recent victory against the New York Knicks. The Warriors found themselves in a tough spot as they lost to the Phoenix Suns by 130-119 on November 16 despite Stephen Curry scoring 50 points. After the disappointing loss, the Warriors held an unplanned meeting after the shoot around on Friday morning. Recently, Klay Thompson revealed a key piece of advice from his teammate Draymond Green that might have helped Stephen Curry’s Warriors secure a victory against the Knicks.

The Warriors’ defense emerged as their weakness during the game against the Suns. However, Thompson attracted some negative attention for his shot selection and the lack of offensive passing. The team seemed to be a little frustrated by their guard Klay Thompson who appeared to be trying too hard to get out of his poor shooting form.

The Warriors addressed their issues during the meeting and the team responded positively with a comfortable win against the Knicks. Thompson gave an insight into the meeting after the 111-101 victory.

Thompson revealed a key piece of advice that helped him keep his nerves in check and drive Stephen Curry‘s team to a victory. Klay Thompson stated, “I mean, me and Draymond had a great conversation this morning. He told me to be patient and trust the team. I thought I exemplified that tonight.”

Thompson was under immense pressure from the Warriors after the loss against the Suns. The four-time NBA champ shared that he watched a lot of films after the loss. He claimed to have had a great conversation with teammate Draymond Green before the game against the Knicks.

Golden State had a much better defensive outing. They managed to restrict the Knicks to mere 19 points in the first quarter. Klay Thompson also had a good game as he appeared calmer on the court, scoring 20 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
