Lakers’ LeBron James is certainly one of the best players of his generation. Ever since he made his debut in the league in 2003, LBJ has had a massive impact on the league and has a stacked trophy cabinet.

After leading the Lakers to their 17th NBA championship, the 36-year-old star finds himself in yet another post-season run with the Purple & Gold and might have the opportunity to win his 5th ring.

LeBron James clarifies his comment of not being a 100%

LBJ is arguably one of the most durable players in the league. Despite playing in his 18th year in the league, James hasn’t slowed down and continued to dominate the game. But this regular season, LBJ suffered from a gruesome high ankle sprain.

Given the severity of the injury, the 4-time MVP was sidelined for about two months. Upon his return, ‘King James‘ created some controversy in the NBA community when he made the statement that he would never be 100% again. In a recent appearance at the Shop, LBJ clarified his comments of never being a 100% ever.

“Once you start playing as a professional, you’re at 99.9. Okay, like, you’re 100, as soon as you step out for training camp, your rookie year, you are at 99.9. So when they asked me, I was like, I’ll never get back to 100. Again, I’ve been playing for 18 years.”

He added, “Yeah, exactly. Now, 99.9….didn’t get back. We talked about this all the time, we go to sleep 100% healthy, and we’ll wake up and step out of bed like, ‘what did you do to me last night?'”

This is certainly an intriguing statement from the King himself. Given the number of years he has put in the game, it is astounding to see him dominate the league.

Can LBJ lead his Lakers past the Suns?

Given how torrid the regular season was for LeBron James, the Lakers fell down all the way down to the 7th seed in the Western Conference and now face a Phoenix side in the first round of the Playoffs.

Despite the Suns lacking experience, Phoenix have been impressive so far and are proving why they shouldn’t be slept upon as contenders. With the series tied at 2-2, the Lakers need their talismanic forward to step up for them.

Given the recent injury to his co-star Anthony Davis, James has to carry the offensive load for the champions. Their upcoming game will be crucial to take control of the series. Can LeBron James lead his team past this young Suns team?
