Stephen Curry was very emotional when he was about to win his fourth NBA title with the Golden State Warriors against the Boston Celtics. It was just pure emotion that poured out from him and he let it go. And he even said that this title is the most meaningful one of his career so far. However, this comment drew some flak from fans who said that he is admitting that Kevin Durant is better than him.

Curry was asked in an interview what this title meant to him. He said, “You don’t find me ugly crying on the court for no reason. That raw emotion that came out after Game 6 kind of signaled how much this meant to me, how much this meant to our team.”

“The first one, you don’t really know what you’re doing until you accomplish it, and then you’re celebrating. The next two were kind of validation, trying to remain champions. But after these last three years and winning that one, definitely the most special.”

However, this irked NBA fans.

Fans did not appreciate Stephen Curry’s comments. They did understand his emotion about what was happening and the struggle of the Golden State Warriors to get back to the top. But his comments were not taken well. Here are some of the best reactions on NBA Twitter:
