His determination and drive toward the game made him go on to conquer the league for years. This success on the basketball court brought success off the court as well with huge endorsement deals. MJ has been the face of the Jordan brand and Nike ever since he first signed with them. The six-time champion changed the dynamics of the sneaker industry.

Similarly, Kanye West also influenced the sneaker industry a lot. He moved on from Nike to Adidas. He became the face of Yeezy until recently. As per reports, West has an estimated net worth of $400 million. The main drama started between Kanye West and Michael Jordan when the rapper mentioned the name ‘Jordan’ in one of his songs named “Facts” which was released in 2015.

The line ?Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman? did not sit well with MJ. Due to that line in the song, the feud between West and Jordan was brewing.

Michael Jordan was not impressed with Kanye West

The Chicago Bulls legend was not impressed by the face of his sneaker rival mentioning his brand’s name in one of his songs.?Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, tried to make his father meet Kanye West recently during West?s recent Miami visit to record with DJ Khaled.

Marcus went straight into the comments of DJ Khaled and proposed a meeting between West and his dad. He commented and tagged DJ Khaled, saying, ?Let?s make that convo happen,..Kanye West and pops.” And this comment got more attention when West replied. Khaled has a good relationship with MJ as well. However, Jordan was not interested.

It should be noted that Kanye West apologized to Jordan once this feud started to gain prominence. He said the lyrics of the song were not meant for Jordan and it was directed toward the former CEO of Nike, Mark Parker.

But it looks like MJ was not ready to accept his apology reportedly. In January, West claimed Jordan is still not ready to meet him because of the song.
