According to Bayless, the Philadelphia 76ers’ James Harden situation was touched upon in the tweet. It is reported that Harden took a pay cut in order to assist his team in acquiring more good players.
He told basketball operations, Daryl Morey, that his goal was “to improve the roster, sign who we needed to sign, and give me whatever is left over.” That pay cut helped the team a lot as they could sign PJ Tucker to a three-year, $33m contract.
