The performances of Draymond Green have made him the backbone of the championship-winning Golden State Warriors. His intensity and toughness on the court set him apart from the rest. He may not have the best offensive numbers but defensively, there is no question that he is among the best in the NBA. Green recently revealed that he earned $850k in his first contract, which made him among the top 1% of America.

The Warriors team drafted Green in 2012 looking for a way to qualify for the playoffs and build a new core. This core won three NBA titles in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

His role as the “heart and soul” of the Warriors is now needed more than ever. They are facing a great Boston Celtics team who are also great defensively. Players like Tatum, Smart, and Brown too won’t lie down. Therefore, Draymond’s leadership has to shine through here. He can’t get engaged in technical and flagrant fouls in this series. It will be very bad for the Warriors if he does.
