The Los Angeles Lakers just lost their third game in a row. The Lakers went up against the Portland Trail Blazers and almost had that game in the bag. However, in the final minute of the fourth quarter, LeBron James and co. ended up arguably running some head-scratching plays and eventually lost the game.

And fans are seemingly blaming none other than Russell Westbrook again. The final score was 106-104. And the Lakers did not shoot well from beyond the arc either. They shot 18.2% from beyond the arc, going 6-33 from the three-point line.

The rest of the players did contribute to the offense. LeBron James ended the game with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Anthony Davis had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 6 blocks for the game.

And as for Russell Westbrook, he had 10 points, shooting 4-15 from the field, along with 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Westbrook has arguably been underperforming since the start of the season, with the number of shots he takes and his shot selection leaving fans with much to be desired.

But even that could’ve been overlooked if Westbrook hadn’t shot the ill-advised jumper with one minute left in the fourth quarter. The Lakers were up 102-101. Russell Westbrook brought up the ball to the front court.

And instead of running a play or milking the shot clock, he took a jumper from the wing which he ended up missing. Even the broadcaster sounded disappointed. And that play ended up costing the Lakers the game.

Fans and analysts around the league criticized Westbrook not just for his play but also for his post-game remarks. One fan commented, “All jokes aside. Dude sounds broken.”

Here are some of the reactions from NBA Twitter:

While another fan tweeted, “He’s averaged 10 6 & 4 on 29% from the field and a whopping sub 10% from three. If you play horribly and lose in the process you’re not going to get positive reception from your fanbase.”
