The Golden State Warriors finally did it. After going down two games to one and facing a road game against the intimidating crowd of Boston, odds were stacked against them. But they answered the call in some fashion. They would go on to win three straight games, including two in Boston to win their fourth NBA Championship in eight years.

The Warriors, though, couldn’t have done this without Steph Curry. The Warriors’ superstar point guard carried the team on his back throughout the playoffs. Steph averaged more than thirty points a game for the Finals.

Because of his performances, he deservedly got his first NBA Finals MVP trophy. Golden State became the first team since the 1985 Los Angeles Lakers led by another superstar, Magic Johnson, to win a closeout game in Boston.

Fans were quick to praise the Warriors after they won. And it seems like one celebrity fan gave the Warriors their flowers and more. Ex-US President Barack Obama congratulated the team, and the players involved. In his tweet, he  mentioned, “With four championships in eight years, the Warriors leave no doubt of their place as one of the NBA’s greatest dynasties.”

2022 NBA Finals Recap

The Golden State Warriors faced off against the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals. Since the Warriors had the better regular-season record, they had a home-court advantage. The paths of both the teams couldn’t have been more different, though.

Boston Celtics, after sweeping Brooklyn in the first round, had to go through multiple seven-game series. While the Golden State Warriors never got pushed for over six games in the Western Conference playoffs.

The Celtics would win the first game to land the first punch in the series. Though Golden State would come right back at them and win the second game convincingly to tie the series at 1-1 going into Boston. But when Boston won game three 116-100 it looked like all the momentum was with them and it was their series to lose.

But the Warriors still had the experience and the will to fight back. They would go on to win three consecutive games, including two away at Boston, to close the series in six games.
